June 15, 2015 – Greg Schrader – No Excuses Workshop

We are SO thrilled to have been asked to speak at PPWM with you. We believe it will change the way you photograph your world. Every aspect of your senses will be heightened and broadened to take your photography career to a new level.

No Excuses will help take the fear out of “oh no, what do I do now”….Anyone can create images with perfect lighting, perfect locations, perfect subjects….what happens when things are less than perfect…Will you create a great image? Or have an excuse?

Learn how to get rid of our common excuses with techniques like:

  • The 4 S’s for Success
  • Seeing beauty everywhere
  • Strategies of Storytelling with your Images
  • Posing
  • Creative tools
  • Listening and being positive

These techniques (and more) will not only help you stand out in an already crowded photography market…They will help you photograph with a purpose. These techniques will help you “create images”….not just take a picture. When you have No Excuses – you begin to work on your craft of being an true artist.

This is not your typical PPWM….this is a workshop style….so come prepared with the following:

  • Comfortable clothes & walking shoes
  • Appropriate clothing (this is going to be a VERY laid back day. No need to wear a suit
and tie…Come in your PJ’s if you want to…LOL.
  • Your Camera
  • Your Camera Manual
  • Your flash (for off camera shooting)
  • Any type of handheld light you might use (Torch, Video, ICE, Etc)
  • Note book & pen (or tablet) for taking notes (Lots and lots of notes)
  • And anything else you would normally bring to a shoot (minus studio lighting)

BONUS!! Also as an optional added bonus – you may bring along up to 5 images that you would like Greg to critique and go over with you and he would be more than happy to do so.

Any other questions or concerns that I did not cover please feel free to contact me at the studio or send me an email. I would be more than happy to help.

Thank you

P.S. “Spend five minutes of every day chasing the impossible.”

Gregory Schrader is not your typical photographer, therefore he does not have the typical story of how he came to own a photography studio. His story begins in 2005 when he finally decided to put his mantra to work “I would rather work 18 hours a day for myself than 8 hours a day for someone else.” Little did he know how literal that mantra would become. Once he decided on his course of action, then came the hard part. Every technique that Gregory uses has been self taught and sometimes taught through mistakes.

Gregory has risen through the photography ranks in a non-traditional way and his photography is best recognized for its non-traditional style. Gregory works to continually raise the bar and push the limits in the photography industry. He is able to stamp a recognizable style in everything he photographs, with each event undoubtedly sparking its own unique twist.

In addition to photographing people in all of their glorious moments and milestones, Gregory also photographs for commercial clientele and his work can be seen in national publications. Emerging as a leader of a new generation of photographers, Gregory has the rare gift of being an artist, a natural entrepreneur and an inspirational teacher. He continues to raise the benchmark of excellence as an artist who is admired and respected by his peers and loved by his clients.

As a public speaker, Gregory inspires and educates photographers from all over the world through publication and speaking at events like WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) with his passionate approach to photography and a natural business sense that has made him the leader that he is.
